Miss DizzyIn May 2002, Dizzy started the Dizzy’s Tumblebus business. She was a busy mom of two working full time as an environmental engineer. After many years of consulting, she wanted to do something a bit more rewarding that would involve her passion for working with young children. So she quit her job and bought a big yellow bus. Since the business began in 2002, Dizzy has had another child, added a 2nd Tumblebus and opened an indoor play and learn facility called Dizzy’s Bus Stop. She loves having her family involved in so many aspects of the business. Her children are always eager to test out new lesson plans, and she’s been lucky enough to have her two youngest siblings move to Seattle to be a part of the Dizzybus Team. With her husband’s support and a great team of teachers she has been able to turn Dizzybus into a successful company providing a wonderful learning experience for young children. Just watch out because you never know what Dizzy is going to create next!

Miss GGGG has been part of the Dizzybus Team since March 2005. She is from Lake Oswego, Oregon and moved to Seattle to help Dizzy grow the business. GG is Miss Dizzy’s little sister! You could mix the two of them up because they look so much alike, but GG will remind you that she’s the YOUNGER sister. GG has her Bachelors degree in Business from Western Oregon University. Before working for the tumblebus she spent four years working in a childcare facility. She also has two little girls of her own, Bella and Gianna. GG’s favorite part of the job is just being able to spend time with the kids, and bring her own little girls to work whenever needed. GG works on the tumblebus and is also our birthday party coordinator, so you can plan on talking to her if you are having the tumblebus to celebrate an event! In her free time (not that she has much with two baby girls) GG likes to spend time with her family and shop, shop, shop
Preschool Teachers
Miss JennyMiss Jenny began at Dizzy’s as a substitute teacher in Spring 2010, and then became the Lead 2’s Preschool Teacher in the fall. Miss Jenny has an A.A.S in Child Development and is currently working toward a B.S. in Community Psychology. In addition to being a mom of two daughters (ages 8 & 13), she has 15 years of professional experience working with children and families. The majority of her experience has been with children from birth through age six. She is most passionate about making a positive impact on children at the earliest developmental stages of life and the Toddler years are her favorite! You always know when Miss Jenny is at the Bus Stop because she creates an amazing sense of peace and calmness. Miss Jenny also loves to sing whenever possible, so if she’s not singing nursery rhymes with the kids you’ll probably find her out enjoying a night of karaoke with friends.

Miss KelseaKelsea joined the Dizzybus Team in October 2008. She has grown up in Washington and is originally from the Issaquah area. She has her BA in Visual Arts from the University of Washington. She used to be on the Tumblebus teaching classes full time, but now she’s the 3’s-5’s Assistant Preschool Teacher. Her favorite part of working at Dizzy’s is getting to know the personalities of each child and helping them get their wiggles out. In her extra time Kelsea enjoys doing art such as painting, sketching, and working with pastels. She also likes hiking.

Not only does Alyssa have her own son Barry (4 years old), but with 2 younger sisters, babysitting, camp counseling and pre-school volunteer work, she’s got games, tricks and fun to spare! (Although she says it’s because she likes to act like a kid!!) Alyssa loves seeing kids learn new skills, and seeing their eyes light up with excitement. When she’s not at the Bus Stop teaching kids, you might find her reading, cooking, skiing or swimming, and definitely playing with Barry!

Since moving back from Hawaii, Aaron has spent a lot more time with his niece (4) and nephew (9) and has always worked with kids of all ages. Throughout high school he taught Break Dancing classes to elementary students and also volunteered at summer camps for middle school students. His favorite part of working with kids is watching the kids grow and learn each day.

She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Emily Carr University in Vancouver BC and enjoys using her creativity in all aspects of her life. She has worked with kids for over 25 years, from her first job teaching kids to ski, to live-in nanny as a teen, to lead daycare teacher just previous to starting at Dizzy's. Her busy life as a mom of two great daughters Luna (9) and Raven (7), as well as part-time college classes, on top of working at Dizzybus, keeps her always on the go, just the way she likes it!

Mr. MoMo originally joined the Dizzybus Team in the summer of 2007. He comes from a large family of 5 siblings, 5 nephews, and 2 nieces! So getting to know the Dizzybus Kids comes naturally. While pursuing his education at the International Academy of Design and Technology as a full time student, Mo worked his way from assistant to lead instructor as he quickly built his skill for making kids laugh and enjoy a world of gymnastics! In 2008 Mr. Mo and hisclose friend since middle school (Mr. Aaron) moved to the Islands of Hawaii where he put his love for Visual Arts to work, printing and producing apparel. Mr. Mo now returns from his career experience to finish his education while rejoining the Dizzybus Team to help bring more skill-building fun to the Dizzybus Kids!

Miss AmyAmy has been with the Dizzybus Team since November 2008. Originally born in Geneva, NY but raised in Northridge, CA, Amy brings with her a BA in Child Development, training in Special Education, and almost 20 years of teaching preschool! Amy is also mom to two fabulous kids, Jake (10) and Rebecca (5), so nothing can surprise this crafty lady! Amy loves coming to the Bus Stop and watching kids master a new skill, especially seeing pure joy on their faces! When she’s not leading the fun at the Bus Stop, Amy loves to make cards and celebrate any occasion she can—believe us, she’s the Queen of birthday party planning!

Tumblebus Teachers
Miss GwenGwen joined the Dizzybus Team in February 2008. She had another full time job, but wanted to work with kids so she joined our team as a Lead Party Instructor on the weekends. After four months of working weekends, she knew she wanted to work with kids all the time, so she joined us full time in June 2008. Gwen is originally from Springfield, Missouri. Gwen spent many hours while she was a teenager babysitting and giving horseback riding lessons to children. She graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelors degree in general studies. Her favorite part of working for the tumblebus is just getting to see all the smiling children, but secretly we think she just loves driving that big yellow bus all over town. When Gwen is not driving around on the tumblebus, she likes reading, writing, music, and spending time with friends. She also enjoys many outdoor activities such as swimming, biking, running, and rollerblading.

Mister JamesJames joined the Dizzybus Team in April 2008 when he joined Dizzy on a cross country road trip to pick up our new Tumblebus from Oklahoma. He spent the next two months helping Dizzy convert the old school bus into the fabulous new Tumblebus you see on the road. While he was working on the bus conversion we had him help out with a few classes and he fell in love with teaching the kids, so he packed his bags and moved here from Portland, Oregon. He has his Associates Degree in the Field of Optics. James is the youngest in a family of eight siblings and has spent a lot of time watching his many nieces and nephews. He has enjoyed being around children his whole life. His favorite part about working for the tumblebus is making the kids laugh and love every moment they’re on the tumblebus. In his free time James likes to play golf and spend time with his family. Speaking of family, if James seems to have a familiar face it is because he is Miss Dizzy’s little brother!

Miss AlexaAlexa joined our Tumblebus team in March of 2009. She’s a local lady from Redmond with a degree in Recreation and Tourism Management (with a focus on Youth Recreation) from Central Washington University. Kids indoors, kids outdoors, kids in summer camps, kids in classrooms… you name it, Alexa’s been there! Her niece and nephew are also pre-school aged, so the Tumblebus kids are like family! Alexa is a true Northwest spirit: snowboarding, hiking, camping, kayaking and rafting are only a few of her hobbies, and if she’s not doing that you’ll probably find her spending time with her friends and family.
